Overall, this is a solid place to get food. And the vibe was wonderful with a great clientele and the staff along with the owner that was there was wonderful. Food overall had great flavor, but the gumbo on the taste of New Orleans they definitely skimp on the seafood. I would 100% not order this is as an entrée. The shrimp were the tiniest things imaginable, and extremely overcooked. Other than this experience was great so definitely come here and explore more on their menu.

Food was absolutely delicious! The star of the show was definitely the crawfish etouffee. Want to shout out the amazing staff, especially Ronnie; she was quick to help us and checked in frequently to make sure we were still doing well

The gumbo was not a favorite. Watery soup with some rice and seafood. The gator bites were better. Tasted like chicken that was chewy. Grilled and fried. I also had the blacken fish and crawfish etouffee. That was great. Seasoned, saucy, and yummy! The line outside moved pretty fast.

The food was amazing!!! All three of loved our dishes. The service was amazing, friendly, and fast. I would recommend this place to anyone, and our waitress Renelle was superb!!!

The place is smack in the middle of the French Quarter so being honest, expectations were low. I thought it would be an overpriced and ow flavor food but, it was late and we didn't want to travel out much more. We were so happy we ended up going in. Prices were not bad and despite the heavy crowds and small interior, they were quick nice, efficient and super nice. Food was so delicious! I'm no expert in traditional NOLA food but it tasted pretty spot on!

Amazing experience at Olde Nola Cookery! I was part of a party of 14+ people who walked in with no reservation - the staff were incredibly inviting and accommodating, making room for all of us and serving us with smiles the entire time! a special shout out to our server, Renelle, who managed our entire tables food and drinks and endless questions with professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend everyone in NO to check this place out and say hi to Renelle!!

We were here for an academic conference, and chose Olde Nola Cookery for our department family dinner. Olde Nola Cookery is right in the midst of Bourbon Street. They were able to accommodate our large, rowdy group of nearly 40, and not everyone showed up on time, so they were wonderful in adding more tables and chairs, and even taking pictures of our group for us! Ronnie and Ferrion took care of us, and were just lovely the entire evening. We were put on the second floor landing, in a room that felt almost private (probably because we were so large that we took up most of the space). The stairs leading up to the landing have signs of food names - very cute. Food was great. I can't speak for everyone in my group, but I got a fried shrimp po' boy, and my partner got their french fries po' boy, but substituted it with the eggplant fries. I also got a taste of the fried oysters, which were fried and crispy and delicious. Food was great. We just forgot that they use sweet tea for their Arnold Palmer, so it was like, twice as sweet as we're used to it, but I really enjoyed it (I have a sugar problem). They also offer mocktails for those who aren't indulging. Thank you for a lovely evening with great food and wonderful service!

You're definitely going to be paying a little bit of a premium since this restaurant is on Bourbon St, but this restaurant was a super fun stop and also had pretty good food as well. If you can, ask to sit upstairs on the balcony (tables of 2) because people watching is a must if you're dining here. Service was great, and the servers were super friendly and welcoming. There are many food options on the menu, but I highly recommend getting the gator bites! They were so delicious! There's no filler in these, so you get to taste the gator by itself. The blackened fish platter was also good--fish was cooked well, mashed potatoes were creamy, and collard greens were seasoned perfectly. But the real surprise of the meal was the bread pudding! Check-in for a complimentary order of the bread pudding to end your meal with a sweet treat. I'm usually not a big fan of bread pudding, but this one was superb! I highly recommend ordering this--even if Yelp stops offering the complimentary one from checking in.

First, I hardly NEVER give 5 stars. It was crowded, and for a darn good reason. First the hostess was so friendly and informative. Jess had a wonderful attitude and smile. It's Bourbon street so it's a little loud, plus it was football Sunday so a lot of folks from both sides out for the night. I do not know where or how to start describing the food! The Taste of New Orleans was great! The étouffée was nice, the jambalaya great but honestly the red beans were crazy good! Smokey, creamy some of the best darn beans I have had in my life. She had the mix and match of BBQ shrimp which was wonderful but it was definitely the creamy crawfish sauce that was the show stopper for her. Next time a large portion will be ordered. I also ordered a side of mustard greens, 90% of the time I add hot sauce to help the flavor....keep it at home. The flavor was great, they were almost meaty. I wish I did not live hundreds of miles away. This would be a weekly go to. Dessert...bread pudding , no we did not need it. We were stuffed but it was a delightful end to a very damn good meal. We came back for our last meal in Nola before heading back to Virginia. She had the same meal except more cream sauce. I had the Redfish cookery and substituted red beans for the potatoes. The beans really are amazing. The red fish with the crawfish cream sauce was delightful. Ro was our server tonight and was very personable.
